Fiber Feed
Corn fibre is the shell of the corn kernel. Fibre is also known as cellulose. Our fibre feeds over 35,000 cattle everyday and is an essential part of their diet. In addition, because we aggregate cellulose at our facility and have fermentation and distillation processes on-site, we are a natural choice to pilot a cellulosic ethanol plant and are currently investigating this possibility.
Dried Brewers Yeast
Because a corn wet milling ethanol plant uses pure starch in fermentation, the spent yeast from the process can be dried and sold as Brewers Yeast. The BY is dried in our spray drying system. We have the largest spray dryer in Canada. A spray dryer is a highly sophisticated drying device that produces product with 99.99% granularity. Over the course over 18 months, we have thoroughly tested our Brewers Yeast with numerous pet food and aquaculture feed manufacturers. We are the only company in Canada that produces a Dried Brewers Yeast. Our product competes internationally and our buyers praise the product for its consistency, which allows us to garner a premium price.
Corn Gluten Feed
Corn gluten feed is fed or blended as a supplement for beef and dairy operations. It provides an economical source of carbohydrate, protein, and fiber to formulate a nutritionally well-balanced ration.
Corn Gluten Meal
Corn gluten meal is a high protein supplement. It is blended to formulate a high protein component for dairy, poultry, hog, pet food, and aquaculture.
Corn gluten meal is the yellow portion of the corn kernel. Gluten is a high protein foodsource for petfood and livestock applications but its high protein is also a highly sought after source of nitrogen. We have created a value-added products entity named Amaizeingly Green Value Products ULC that has formulated a pelletized corn gluten meal fertilizer and pre-emergent weed killer product for use in residential and commercials applications. This product is being produced as an increasing number of Canadian and US municipalities are banning chemical fertilizers and are looking to natural and ecologically friendly fertilizer options like Amaizeingly Green™ . We are working closely with both Canadian and US distributors to move our product. Our distributors have recently informed us that we are the largest producer of natural fertilizer in Canada.
Corn Steep Liquor
Corn steep liquor is a protein-rich liquid for use in swine and ruminant feeds. It is a high energy liquid ingredient consisting of the soluble portions of the corn kernel resulting from the steeping process. This product is rich in soluble proteins, vitamins, and lactic acid. It is also used as a culture medium in the production of antibiotics, vitamin B-12, lysine, and yeast.
Heavy Steep Water
Through the corn steeping process, Corn Steep Liquor (also known as Heavy Steep Water or HSW) is produced. HSW is high in protein and soluble and insoluble proteins. HSW is highly sought after liquid feed for both cows and pigs; in fact, we have undergone a significant testing process in 2008 with Ontario feed nutritionalists to introduce HSW to the swine market, a first in Ontario. This move has greatly increased swine producers’ choices for feeding programs. We have preformed numerous tests on HSW with local agricultural producers and have found it to be an excellent fertilizer. We are currently preparing a submission to have the HSW classified as an agricultural fertilizer, which will be marketed by our Amaizeingly Green Products, L.P. fertilizer division.
