Application Rates
Corn Gluten Meal is both an organic fertilizer and a natural herbicide combined into one powerful weed fighting, turf feeding product.
Amaizeingly Green Corn Gluten as a HERBICIDE
1. Non-Selective, Pre-emergent herbicide that controls Crabgrass and Dandilions. The pellets release amino acids and proteins into the soil that attack germinating seeds and stops them from forming roots
2. The effects last for approximately 4 weeks
3. DO NOT lay down sod or grass seed 3 weeks before or 4 weeks after using Amaizeingly Green
4. The weed fighting effectiveness improves year after year
5. It does not kill weeks that are already established
6. Used any broadcast spreader at a rate of 20 lbs per 1000 square feet
7. Can be applied rain or shine
Amaizeingly Green Corn Gluten as a FERTILIZER
1. 10-0-0 Fertilizer (10 -15% fast release Nitrogen and 85 to 90% slow release Nitrogen)
2. Natural Product – No Chemicals, safe to use around children and pets and will not burn your turf
3. Use any broadcast spreader at a rate of 20lbs per 1000 square feet
4. Must use on an established lawn
5. Can be used in flower gardens and around trees
6. Can be applied rain or shine
Method of Application
1. Apply Amaizeingly Green using a broadcast spreader at a rate of 20 lbs per 1000 square feet. For best results, apply in a criss-cross pattern using on half of the rate in each direction.
2. Apply when soil is moist and when rain is forecasted within 2 days of treatment. If no rainfall occurs within 2 days, irrigation is required.
3. Excessive moisture will reduce the effectiveness
Early Spring Application
• Apply in late April or early May (depending on the weather) or around the time when Forsythia begins to bloom
• Soil temperature has reached 12 degrees Celsius
• Two weeks before tulips show colour
Mid Summer
• Apply in mid July
Fall Application
• Apply in late August or early September
• 30 days before average temperatures drop below 16 degrees Celsius at night
